How to care for your new personal art

• Leave bandage on for 1 to 2 hours.
• Wash with cold water and Anti-Bacterial soap and pat dry.
• Then apply thin layer of Lubriderm Lotion. Repeat twice daily until completely healed.
• Do not allow tattoo to soak in any type of water until completely healed.
• Do not rebandage, but keep clean and dry.
• Do not pick or scratch area.
• Keep out of sun until healed and after healing always apply a good sunscreen if exposed to sun.

All work is guaranteed. If you feel your art needs a touch-up within 6 months.

Cosmetic Tattoo Aftercare

EYELINER:

1. Within first hour after procedure apply cold compress to eye area for 20 minutes.
2. Apply thin layer of Bacitracin to eyeliner at least 3 times per day until healed.
3. Do not wear makeup until eyeliner is healed.
4. Do not pick at or scratch eye area.
5. Do not use cold cream or makeup in eye area until healed.

Brows and liner heal almost exactly the same.

EYEBROWS:

1. Within first hour after procedure apply cold compress to brows for 20 minutes.
2. Apply thin layer of Bacitracin to brows at least 3 times per day until healed.
3. Do not wear makeup near brows until healed.
4. Do not pick at or scratch brow area.
5. Do not use cold cream or makeup in brow area until healed.

TO ENSURE BEST POSSIBLE HEALING:
Apply a THIN layer of Bacitracin.
Follow aftercare instructions carefully.
Never touch tattooed area with dirty hands.

LIPS:

1. The lip area will swell and be uncomfortable. Take an anti-inflammatory such as Motrin, Ibuprofen, or Advil to relieve swelling and discomfort.
2. Within the first hour after procedure apply cold compress for 20 minutes.
3. Apply Bacitracin to lips as many times as necessary to prevent lips from drying out.
4. Avoid excessive licking of lips.
5. Do not wear lipstick until healed.
6. Do not chew on or peel dry skin that forms on lips.

What to Expect:
The tattoo will take approximately one week to heal. It will be tender and slightly swollen for the first few days The tattoo will develop a light scab that will eventually peel off. During this time it may seem like the tattoo is losing color, don't worry this is normal. The last stage is when the tattoo is basically healed but has a shiny appearance. The skin will return to its normal appearance and at this time if there is any need for a touch-up it will be apparent

Body Piercing Aftercare

It is, most important that all new piercings be thoroughly cleaned twice daily. Wash with Dr. Bronner's or Dial Anti-bacterial, SoftSoap.  Also clean piercing with Bactine once or twice a day. Avoid soaps that are highly perfumed, deodorant, or moisturizing. Do not use dubious cleansing agents (rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and/or oral antibiotics) as they can impede the healing process, and can scar the tissue around the piercing.

New piercings should be handled with freshly washed hands. Do not pick piercings while they are healing. Even light pressure and friction should be avoided for several months, or until the piercing is completely healed.

It will be noted that matter ("crusties") will be secreted from the piercing during the healing period. This matter will dry on the jewelry and around the opening of the piercing. Before washing, rinse this dried matter off using warm water with a little soap. Now rinse the piercing thoroughly, working the jewelry back and forth under running water to remove all traces of soap.

Vitamins and minerals, particularly Vitamin C and Zinc help the body regenerate tissue and fight off infection. For the fastest, easiest healing, piercee's should eat well, get plenty of rest.

For ears, nostril, septum, navel, nipple, eyebrow and lip, use Bactine 1 to 3 times daily. Do not use Hibiclens on above the neck piercings as it can cause deafness if it comes in contact with the inner ear.

For tongue, lip, and cheek piercings, the mouth should be rinsed frequently with a 50/50 solution of Listerine (or another antiseptic mouthwash) each time after eating, drinking or smoking anything, to avoid irritation. Carbamide Peroxide (the active ingredient in Gly-Oxide and Peroxyl) is often the cleansing agent suggested for use in oral piercings.

As an alternative to the Listerine solution, a mixture of one tablespoon sea salt to 1 cup warm water can be used to rinse the mouth. With tongue piercings, an anti-inflammatory such as Motrin, Ibuprofen, or Advil is recommended to keep the swelling down. After the swelling cycle has completed (about one month to six weeks) return to New Creation for a smaller size barbell. It is also important to check the barbell daily to ensure the bead is tightly secured to the stud.

Sexual Contact - whether Genital or Oral with new piercings or handling with dirty hands can cause infection and/or transmission of disease and should definitely be avoided. Genital contact with oral piercings is not recommended due to infection possibility and transmission of disease.

It is important to note that a piercer is neither a medical professional nor an "Aftercare Police Officer." The piercee is responsible for caring for a new piercing using the awareness of their own body and the information given to them by the piercer.
