Ronita Yvarra is...

In symbolic fashion a baby was laid to rest in a coffin from the arms of its mother, artist, owner, Ronita Yvarra. Many were invited to attend the memorial services held Saturday October 30th 2004 at Roni's home.

While the physical shop has been laid to rest, Roni continues to tattoo privately by appointment for new, existing and ongoing clients. She continues to travel internationally and has just received her certification to tat in Hawaii! Look for updates after she returns from her world travels. The shop is no longer, but her contact information remains active if you need to reach her to schedule an appointment.

New Creation has been in Chico since 1993. Our personnel continuously changes, giving us a fresh outlook. Ronita Yvarra seems to be the only constant at our shop. Our current front desk staff is always committed to helping you find or create that elusive design, whether you speak to Heather, Jeremy or Jamie. Whichever receptionist you may speak too, each is a valuable part of our team and is the person you will talk to if you call to ask questions about any procedures. All tattoo or piercing appointments require a visit to the shop with a time set by the artist / receptionist and a $20.00 deposit. Our receptionists will be happy to answer your general questions and help you schedule a consultation for design work with the artist of your choice. We do tattooing, cosmetic tattooing, and piercing. We can't claim to be a full service shop because we don't brand, scar, wax, electrically pull your hair or do your nails.

Ronita has traveled in both Europe and the United States. She has attended conventions in Madrid and been "guest" tattooist in both Spain and France and has visited a number of places on the continent. She has many international contacts in the tattooing community and has opened the doors of New Creation to many international tattooists like Moo', (pronounced moe) from Madrid Spain, Zoe' (like zoh-ee) from Berlin Germany, Louise, from Australia, Sandrene from France, Hori Taku from Japan and many others. Ronita has made many friends and had many guest artists over the years and continues to bring new and innovative talent to Chico area. Her current tattooing staff, Chris, is from Madrid and Ryan from Livermore, California.
